Kaitlyn Prior

Founder and Accredited Exercise Physiologist

I’m Kaitlyn, the founder and senior Accredited Exercise Physiologist at Activ8 Exercise Physiology. Activ8 was created from a genuine passion for helping people move beyond pain, injury or limitation and into stronger, more confident and capable movement.

With a background in exercise physiology and strength and conditioning, I’ve spent years working with a wide range of individuals — from those managing injuries or chronic conditions, to active gym members and athletes looking to continue training safely and effectively. Throughout this time, one gap became increasingly clear: many people either stayed stuck in rehabilitation without knowing how to progress or returned to training too quickly without addressing the underlying factors that led to injury in the first place. Activ8 was built to bridge that gap.

My approach centres on understanding the individual. I take the time to assess how each person moves, identify contributing factors to pain or dysfunction, and design evidence-based exercise programs that align with their health history, goals and lifestyle. Whether the focus is rehabilitation, chronic disease management, injury prevention or performance, the aim is always to build long-term capacity — not just short-term fixes.

I believe exercise should be purposeful, progressive and empowering. Clients are supported not only to recover, but to understand their bodies, build resilience and develop the confidence to keep moving and training for years to come. Education, communication and collaboration are key parts of my practice, ensuring care is clear, aligned and sustainable.
